New Newton

I saw a documentary about Sir Issac Newton. And i am going to share some latest (updated) knowledge about Newton in this post.

An APPLE is perhaps the first thing that comes to ones mind when talking about Newton . Much to my astonishment, many scientists - in that documentary - deny the story that a falling apple led to the discovery of gravity. So from now on i am going to deny it too.

We know Newton mostly for his contributions to Physics and Mathematics, but very few people do really know that he had written text about Theology more than that of Physics and Mathematics combined !!! Also, that he spent a considerable duration of his lifetime indulging in the, then forbidden, pseudoscience of Alchemy.

Among many other lesser known, 'The Laws Of Motion' , 'Elliptical Orbits of Celestial Bodies' and 'Composition of White light' are the most famous of his discoveries. 'Principia Of Nature' and 'Optiks' were his masterpieces.

It is said that John Lock, a freind of Newton, wrote a political philosophy - which we now call Modern Democracy - taking inspiration from Newtons discoveries about natural hierarchy.

Reflection:-
Results of todays cutting-edge research are going to be the general knowledge of tomorrow. How trivial do the statements, like 'Earth revolves around the Sun', sound today and how outrageous(infact blasphemious) did they sound before the times of Newton and Galeileo !
How amiss the beliefs(read faith in Alchemy) of the smartest people(read Newton) can be !
No, i've got no new point to make. I suggest only a way of thinking to try out.

Take care.

Jee Aya Nu

For those who didn't understand the title-- 'Jee Aya Nu' in Punjabi language, my mother tongue, means 'Welcome'.

I would start with a confession.
It took me almost half an hour to just decide upon the name of my blog (yes many of us do take it so seriously, nevertheless we are not supposed to confess that!).

I would be using this platform to "vent off" my philosophies(maybe wrong), opinions(maybe boring) and ideas(maybe half-baked).
You observed right, i am a person of double quotes and brackets. I always try to be as much expressive as possible. Of course, effective useage of vocabulary can accomplish that but i do not like writing editorials(i hear you....yes, you can say that).

All the double quotes and brackets are gonna become clear as i write more -- at least that is how i want it to be.
